Pilgrim Open Pantry (POP)
In 2024, Pilgrim introduced an open pantry as a way of supporting members of the local community needing access to fresh food. The pantry is stocked each Wednesday and Friday with donations from Reaching Out in the Inner West.
We are looking for volunteers to help with picking up the donated food and stocking the pantry. If you would like to donate around 2 hours a week or 2 hours a fortnight (currently on a Wednesday or Friday), we’d love to hear from you. Email pilgrimunitingyarraville@gmail.com
Annual ‘Opportunity Frocks’ fundraiser – a celebration of sustainable fashion!
Each year Pilgrim hosts a joyous community event in May, to align with National Volunteer Week. We celebrate the work of our Missionpoint op shop volunteers, support West Welcome Wagon’s work with asylum seekers and refugees, and dress up in our best op shop gear and sashay down the runway! This year Rebecca Barnard entertained us and ‘best dressed’ prizes were awarded in a range of categories. This is a very popular community event, which sells out fast.

Annual Community Jumble Sale – 15 November 2025
Each November, Pilgrim holds a community jumble sale to raise money for a local charity. This year, funds raised will support United Housing Cooperative, based in Yarraville. All 38 tables have now been sold, but please come on 15 November to buy some pre-loved items!
